What is FEP Tubing?
FEP tubing, short for Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene tubing, is a type of thermoplastic tubing known for its exceptional chemical resistance, high-temperature capabilities, and optical clarity. It is a member of the fluoropolymer family, which also includes materials like PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) and PFA (Perfluoroalkoxy).
FEP tubing exhibits excellent resistance to a wide range of chemicals, acids, bases, solvents, and corrosive substances. This property makes it well-suited for applications in the chemical industry, laboratory settings, and other environments where exposure to harsh chemicals is common.
FEP tubing can withstand a broad temperature range, typically from around -200°C to 200°C (-328°F to 392°F).
