What is TPR Flexible Ducting?
Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR or TPE) Ducting offers many of the properties of conventional synthetic rubber ducting at lighter weights and lower costs.
Thermoplastics do not require the same level of processing as rubber equivalents so are faster to produce, more economical and have greater potential for melting and recycling or repurposing after use so make an ideal multipurpose ducting material. Flextech’s thermoplastic ducting range includes steel wire reinforced variants resistant to temperatures of up to +125°C so can withstand the demands of extracting hot air and fumes in chemical plants, shipyards, the automotive industry, heating, air conditioning and ventilation systems.
Thermoplastic ducting is lightweight and easy to handle, and offers excellent resistance to abrasion and chemicals. The thermoplastic liner and cover provide Anti-static protection from build ups of dangerous electrical charges and comply with RoHS 2011/65/EU Directive, REACH Regulation (1907/2006). electrical resistance R≤102 Ohm/m to ISO 8031 ATEX Directive 94/4/EC and 99/92/EC).
