Description
T3150A Unlined silicone high temperature ducting is a lightweight, single ply, silicone coated, glass fibre fabric ducting. For use in high temperature applications such as vehicle or automotive exhaust systems and transportation of high temperature air/fumes. As a material silicone has low amounts of toxicity, thermal conductivity and reactivity to chemicals. These benefits derive from its elastomeric compound structure which consists of a blend of silicone rubber, carbon, hydrogen and oxygen. This therefore results in its high degree of chemical and thermal resistance.
Both unlined and lined versions of silicone ducting are great solutions for applications that require a constant airflow. The anti-kinking properties of these ductings are what prevent it from collapsing upon itself when it is bent. In addition to this, silicone ducting is available in a variety of grades with different wall thicknesses. These make this type of ducting suitable for various applications from light duty ambient air transfer to heavy duty chemical exhaust systems.
Unlined silicone ducting is a suitable alternative to Flextech's T3150B Lined Silicone High Temperature Ducting when working pressures or vacuum resistance are not important application requirements.

Applications
